Expectations of Service

At Rebuilding Together Northern Nevada, we prioritize clear and open communication about our services and capabilities. We are committed to managing expectations to ensure a successful and fulfilling partnership between our organization, the homeowners and residents we serve, our contractors, subcontractors, invaluable volunteers, our funders and the community. Here are some key aspects to keep in mind about our services:

Service Basis & Location: Our services are prioritized based on a combination of factors including, but not limited to, funding source and requirements, contractor availability or volunteer project coordination, available materials, home location, and need. Also, homeowner availability and agreed-upon services play a crucial role in our projects' scheduling.

Scope of Work: RTNNV follows a 25-point Safe and Healthy Home Priority checklist which guides our work to improve the home environment. Cosmetic repairs are an additional and positive outcome of a safe and healthy repair. Repairs are performed mostly by licensed and insured contractors that work closely with RTNNV to provide professional and quality repairs for those we serve. In some instances, in-house staff or volunteers may perform repairs. In all cases, RTNNV will be a homeowners' point of contact for ALL repairs completed and guaranteed for one year.

Emergency Repairs: Due to the eligibility process, staffing and required time to schedule projects, we currently do not provide emergency repairs; however, we will review these types of projects on a case-by-case basis.

Volunteer-Based Services: Volunteer projects are scheduled with a corporate sponsor and their employees, or a service group, which requires substantial coordination and planning. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate the complexities of managing volunteer projects and manpower.

Request Confirmation & Service Guarantee: Please note that while we confirm receipt of your request, this does not guarantee service. Due to variables such as funding resources and requirements, we may not always be able to match every request. We strive to secure additional funding and manpower whenever possible to meet community needs.

Respect and Communication: When a connection is made between the funding source, contractor, staff, and the homeowner in need, we ask that you respect all resources of time and effort involved. Please contact us with any concerns to ensure smooth communication and respect for everyone's contributions.

Patience and Understanding: Posting a request or leaving a voicemail does not guarantee service. We take all requests seriously and do everything in our power to meet the needs of our homeowners. We ask for your patience and understanding as we coordinate funding, staff, contractors, materials, and volunteers.

Conclusion: While we strive to serve all who need our help, it's important to understand that we maintain a waiting list. Therefore, once a project is complete, a homeowner must wait at least two years before requesting additional services. We appreciate your understanding, patience, and grace, and we are deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve our neighbors in the best way we can.
