An Afternoon of Music and Community

On Sunday, September 20, 2026, more than 90 neighbors, friends, and supporters gathered at The Lodge Bar & Patio on Mount Rose Highway for the Boots & Builds Benefit Concert.

Northern Nevada country artist Jakota Wass and his band played to a full patio under the pines, while guests enjoyed barbecue from Butcher’s Kitchen Char-B-Que and caught up with friends old and new.

Inside, a silent auction filled with items from local businesses and supporters gave everyone another way to pitch in for the cause.

Why It Matters: Every ticket, bid, and donation from Boots & Builds helps provide no-cost home repairs and accessibility modifications for seniors, veterans, and individuals living with disabilities, so they can stay safe and independent in the homes they love. Together, more than 90 guests helped raise over $2,000 for local home repairs.

Powered by Community Support

This event would not have been possible without the generous support of the sponsors and partners who helped bring the day to life.

Special Event Collaborators: The Lodge Bar & Patio, our host; Butcher’s Kitchen Char-B-Que, who catered the afternoon; and Jakota Wass, who brought the music.

We are also grateful to our Rebuilders Champion sponsors, whose generosity helped make the event possible.

Thank you as well to every business and individual who donated to the silent auction.

Moments That Made the Day

Board Chair Chuck Ziegler took the stage to thank the crowd and share what their support makes possible: since 2020, Rebuilding Together Northern Nevada has helped more than 350 households with nearly 3,000 repairs.

From the first song to the last bid, the afternoon was a reminder that real change happens when people show up for their neighbors.
